Everything You
Need To Know
Arboricultural Impact Assessment
This assessment is the first stage used in the process to evaluate the existing tree stock on site and the constraints that these pose.
The data for the trees, groups of trees or hedges will be collected at this stage.
Our qualified team will then identify:
Trees for retention
Trees for removal
Trees requiring remedial works
Impact of the above
Evaluation of tree constraints
Tree Protection Plan
The tree protection plan takes the data collected at the Arboricultural Impact Assessment stage and applies it to the proposed development.
The Tree Protection Plan (TPP) should show the extent of the root protection areas, details of any ground protection measures and/or fencing required.
Arboricultural Method Statement
Should show how the above TPP will be implemented and the control measures in place.
Both these documents should have a schedule of monitoring and programe of arboricultural supervision.
Our Process
Site visit for collection of data, which includes: Species, height, age, stem diameter, canopy details and the general condition of the tree.
Using the data collected, and physical locations of the trees, the root area of the trees is calculated.
Trees and root areas are Plotted onto site plans – to establish effect of potential development on existing trees
Using all evidence available, decisions can be made on the viability of a potential development design, and weighted up against the value of the trees.
